{"id":78,"date":"2012-04-16T03:18:06","date_gmt":"2012-04-16T03:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.undergroundmediaware.com\/?p=78"},"modified":"2012-04-16T03:18:06","modified_gmt":"2012-04-16T03:18:06","slug":"windows-of-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.undergroundmediaware.com\/?p=78","title":{"rendered":"Windows of opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I originally came up with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Alpha And The Omega<\/span> in the 1990s.\u00a0 Back then, the time was ripe for an apocalyptic thriller.\u00a0 It had been 2,000 years since Jesus walked the Earth, and many felt something big was about to happen to mark the event, be it a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Y2K_%E2%80%93_World_in_Crisis\">global computer crash<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Left_Behind\">Reckoning<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aoJqEOWQg_k\">a party to end all parties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But I was young, and I didn\u2019t have the discipline to sit down and write <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A&amp;O<\/span>.\u00a0 2000 AD came and went.\u00a0 And nothing happened, both globally and with my writing.<\/p>\n<p>For years, I lamented that I missed a historic window of opportunity.\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A&amp;O<\/span> was perfect for an End Times-rattled audience.\u00a0 I was sure it would be another 1,000 years before the world would again be gripped in such a cataclysmic frenzy.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, I decided to press on with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A&amp;O<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>And as I wrote and edited away, <a href=\"http:\/\/occupywallst.org\/\">protests<\/a> began brewing.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arab_Spring\">Revolutions<\/a> toppled dictators.\u00a0 The world fell into\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2008%E2%80%932012_global_financial_crisis\">economic\u00a0ruin<\/a>.\u00a0 And according to the scientific experts, it was only a matter of time before <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cdc.gov\/publichealthmatters\/2011\/05\/preparedness-101-zombie-apocalypse\/\">zombies would be feasting on all our brains<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And the capper: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A&amp;O<\/span> was released on May 21, 2011, coincidently <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2011_end_times_prediction\">the day Harold Camping predicted the end of the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yes!\u00a0 Another window of opportunity has opened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I originally came up with The Alpha And The Omega in the 1990s.
