{"id":278,"date":"2014-12-06T06:19:33","date_gmt":"2014-12-06T06:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.undergroundmediaware.com\/?p=278"},"modified":"2014-12-06T06:19:33","modified_gmt":"2014-12-06T06:19:33","slug":"how-the-end-times-will-unfold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.undergroundmediaware.com\/?p=278","title":{"rendered":"How the End Times will unfold"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2026is chronicled in <a title=\"The Alpha And The Omega\" href=\"https:\/\/www.undergroundmediaware.com\/?page_id=10\"><em>The Alpha And The Omega<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Or at least, that\u2019s what I thought when I was a fervent Christian.<\/p>\n<p>My father is Methodist and my mother practices Shinto.\u00a0 So naturally, I became a Southern Baptist.\u00a0 (Being brought up in the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bible_Belt\">Bible Belt<\/a> during my formative years may have had something to do with it too.)<\/p>\n<p>In second grade, I literally cried with joy when I was <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Born_again_(Christianity)#Methodism_and_other_Evangelicals\">Saved<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Grace-Baptist-Church\/139446149474960\">Grace Baptist Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Living in the dorms at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calpoly.edu\/\">Cal Poly<\/a>, my standard greeting to strangers was \u201cHey, would you like to hear about how I met Christ?\u201d \u00a0(Though, I did pass on the occasional invitation from my fellow collegiate Christians to protest at the local <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/\">Planned Parenthood<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>When the Bible stated God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days, I believed it was <em>six days<\/em>.\u00a0 Not a figurative \u201cbiblical day\u201d that equaled an epoch of a billion, or even a thousand, years.\u00a0 No, six fucking days.\u00a0 Because my God, an infinitely-powerful god, could easily create the entire universe in less than a week.<\/p>\n<p>So when I came up with the idea of writing a book about the impending End Times, it was easy.\u00a0 To me, the plot of <em>The Alpha And The Omega<\/em> wasn&#8217;t fiction: it was cautionary non-fiction.\u00a0 It was how I earnestly thought the world was going to end&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>To be continued\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2026is chronicled in The Alpha And The Omega.
